Within 24 Hours of Arrival

Register Your Residence
Register your address with the local police within 24 hours of arrival.
If you’re staying at a hotel, this is done automatically.
If you’re staying in a private residence, visit the local police station or use Shanghai’s online registration system. Bring your passport and address details.
